The Illuminating all seeing eye

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

                                                                                                 --Matthew 6:22King James Bible

We have heard about illuminating all seeing eye before. But the eye in question for this article and in the Bible quotation above is not conspiratorial rather it's the really illuminating one. The quotation above has been interpreted in various ways. The one I like and find appropriate in particular refers to the third eye, ajna chakra or shiv-netra. When Jesus says that 'if thine eye be single' he means that if 'you have awakened the single eye'.

Jesus says that your body will become full of light--that means when you have awakened your third eye your body will become full of consciousness or you will get your real body which is full of light without the dint of matter or Maya. You will become illuminated and wake up from your slumber of ignorance. 'Full of light' means full of consciousness, full of joy and full of knowledge of self. The location of the third eye is between the two eyebrows and it's considered to be seat of consciousness. Physical counterpart of this eye is Pineal gland in the body. It's considered to be sixth chakra in the subtle body. On a spiritual level it's reflected in the qualities like foresightedness and when activated by help of meditation it confers one knowledge of self . This eye makes one an all seeing one and an enlightened one or an illuminated one, which is where-from the conspiratorial all seeing eye took its nomenclature.

In general when meditating or otherwise the subtle body center at which you focus or the vibration frequencies   with which you keep yourself associated, are the one towards which you reinforce your body and mind. For example if you are consistently engaged in thinking about welfare of humanity and with an open heart you love one and all--your heart center gets activated; similarly when you keep on focusing between eyebrows behind the eyes--your third eye gets activated and you start seeing light there. Initially the light might be flickering and hazy but with the practice it becomes crystalline and more and more radiant and it makes your body full of light.

Yogic texts and other references by masters suggest that the one who starts practicing meditation at the eye center, need not activate other chakras. The third eye in itself, when activated, gives advantages of working on all lower chakras and makes you full of light of wisdom and consciousness.

The question is to question the questioner

All seekers of the Truth have questions in their minds. It is generally believed that the more you walk along the path, more and more will be the questions answered and more fruitful and enjoyable the existence will become; but it does not happen that way. When a question is answered, another arises and when it's answered one more arises and it keeps happening forever. Why is it so? Another question is: Does getting more and more questions answered really make you happier?

The answer to the second question is 'no'. It's a wrong notion that you reach at the Truth by getting answers to your questions. Truth which makes you permanently happy and content is beyond intellectual exegesis, beyond the ken of apparatus called mind. What then actually holds you back is 'mind' rather than the lack of it. This also answers the first question--i. e. it's sole purpose of the questioner(mind) to hold you back in body consciousness so that you could not reach to the realization of Truth behind your existence. The questions, apart from a few very basic ones which are there since time immemorial, are nothing but clever ways of your mind for holding you back from achieving your true right--the right of being perpetually happy. Questions sap out the energy of your organism and every one of them poses as if it's the final one; the most important one and the one which would solve all your problems- existential and otherwise. Mind's gimmicks are countless and all you know is a lie told by it.

What is to be done then? Learn to do nothing. The only tool you have is mind and it's insufficient and it's not even a tool for those who are living under the influence of it-- who are driven by desires and ignorance cannot call it a tool. Desires don't let you know that there is pain and suffering in existence. When the time comes to actually see that there is nothing but pain and suffering in desiring--you start seeing chain of existential questions--which is both necessary on one hand to know the reality and the last resort of 'mind--the agent of devil' from letting you walk on the enlightened path of happiness on the other. Therefore, when you are really done with the desires except one--to reach your true home--start questioning the questioner. Know that your questions might be answered--some of them or may be all of them--but it will definitely be temporary--because that agent of Lucifer is there to make you continue under the illusions that so called 'answers' to your questions will really set you free from your problems. When you realize the game played by your evil mind upon you and you start questioning the questioner--only then the questioner will disappear--only then your friend 'mind' will be born. Unless the questions get dissolved--all at once and all forever--you will not find your peace. Never believe that there is a final answer to your questions--the Truth is--questioning is the wrong way--it's way of mind and it's what is misleading you. You-a seeker after Truth must learn to question the questioner in order to really get rid of it.
